A Kapula design is distinctive - it's colourful, bold and reflects the vibrant spirit of Africa. The design team consists of Ilse, her daughter and the hand painters themselves. This inclusive, collaborative approach ensures variety in line with current trends as well as a sense of ownership for all team members.
The unique candles by Kapula are all handmade in Bredasdorp, a small town in the heart of the beautiful Overberg region of South Africa.
Our raw materials are all carefully selected to ensure every Kapula product is of the highest quality. Every single product is handcrafted from start to finish.

In a small farming community where finding a job isn't easy, we stay true to our handcrafted processes to ensure sustainable employment for as many people as possible.
More than 90% of our employees are women, half of whom have been part of our team for more than 10 years.
