Natural incense wood for harmony & clarity

Palo Santo means "holy wood" and comes from the Bursera tree in South America. It is traditionally used for incense and, when burned, releases a warm, woody fragrance with a slightly sweet note.
A palo santo stick is lit at one end, left to burn for about 30 seconds, and then blown out. The resulting smoke is used for energetic cleansing or as a room fragrance. Afterwards, the stick can be left to smolder out in a fireproof dish.
Genuine Palo Santo comes from naturally dead branches of the Bursera graveolens tree and has an intense fragrance even when unlit. When buying, pay attention to origin, ethical sourcing, and ideally, sustainable wild harvesting.
Both woods are used for incense, but they come from different plant species and continents. Palo Santo has a sweet and spicy scent, while sandalwood smells earthier and more balsamic.
Traditionally, Palo Santo is used to cleanse spaces, for relaxation, and for spiritual rituals. These effects are not scientifically proven – however, many people experience a calming and clarifying atmosphere.
Only products from controlled wild harvesting and legal export are considered sustainable. Look for certified suppliers or retailers who provide transparent information about origin and harvesting practices.
Yes, besides wooden sticks, Palo Santo is also available in the form of incense sticks, essential oil or scented candles – ideal for alternative applications without open flame.
Palo Santo is available in specialized incense shops, esoteric shops or online shops focusing on natural products – also in our product range.
