Quartz glass holds heat better and longer. Signs of wear and tear, as they appear with borosilicate glass with frequent use and strong exposure to heat, are usually not to be expected with quartz glass due to the low thermal expansion and high thermal shock resistance. Put the nail on the bong and heat the pan red-hot with a burner, let it cool down briefly, then drizzle the oil onto the pan with the appropriate tool and take a drag while steam develops. A matching dome or carb cap dabber can be placed over the nail to collect the smoke before it is inhaled. Attention: The head / nail may only be heated on the pan, otherwise there is a risk that the joint will break due to the expansion of the material.
