A plant yoyo works on the principle of a normal yoyo. A thin but extremely strong nylon cord always rolls back into the plastic housing as long as it is not under tension.

These yo-yos can be used to support plants that are too heavy without the hassle of sticks in the pots, or you can guide your plants in the right direction by hooking the yo-yo's hook to a plant internode and the yo-yo itself to a fixed point.
