Windspiel Hamsa in Brass
Pickup currently unavailable
The wind chime is made from recycled brass and is one of our many charms. The hand of Fatima, Hamsa (or Hamza) serves as a protective symbol in the Orient and protects against harm and the evil eye. This wind chime is also decorated with finely chiseled ornaments and complemented with red and green glass beads and bells.
Whether you believe in the evil eye or not. There's something special about little gems when they're so pretty. The history of the blue nazar eye is almost as old as mankind and has its origins in the Middle East. The term Nazar means "seeing, sight, insight" and in oriental countries the eye is still worn, hung up or blocked against the evil eye. Although they were once considered something exotic, they have long since found their way into the fashion and art world and are often used in fine jewelery work, just as often they can be spotted in simple work at street markets etc.
